Brand And Blog Launch: Free Lesson Treasury
I planned on sharing this one with you a couple of months ago, but got lost in the shuffle. So today I want to introduce the new branding for Free Lesson Treasury, a site with lesson plans designed for middle and high school teachers. My client Mary Beth wanted the branding to be clean and modern and not overtly cute or feminine. After discussing her requirements at length I put together the colour palette below by incorporating a mix of colours like citrus yellow, shades of blue and a pop of red. I used geometric fonts and a chalkboard texture to create a more identifiable brand for the teachers and incorporated these elements in the logo as well as the blog.
Coding and putting together a website is one of my favourite things to do, because it blends everything we have previously done into a full visual board. It is always so exciting sending the final result off to the client and seeing it all come to life! I had so much fun designing the FLT blog because it was my first full on blog design with a ton of different features, categories and pages to use. We designed and developed a custom About page, category list and also a special product frame to feature free products in the blog post. It was so neat being able to help Mary Beth take her blog to the next level and make it easy for her readers to navigate through her endless amount of freebies and teaching material.
Make sure to check out the blog site here! I absolutely loved working on this project and wish Mary Beth the best!
