I'm so excited to share with you a project I have been working on for a while for Delhi based jewelers Kainaat Jewels. When Preeti and Nupur first contacted me it was to help them with their brand's social media marketing. As we got chatting I convinced them to opt for a complete re-brand / launch of their business, which they described as classic, modern, high fashion and timeless.
I did a couple of rounds of designs before proposing the style guide illustrated below. I selected the blue and gold colours to suggest royalty and elegance and to match the brand's design aesthetics. The pink and grey tones in the palette were to add contrast and variation in the branding as required. The fonts were a combination of calligraphy to add a creative flourish and bold to suggest reliability of the business.
Although we were all quite in love with the proposed style guide, after much deliberation we concluded that an all new brand was NOT the best way to move forward since Kainaat's existing logo was quite well established amongst it's clientele. So we decided to stick to the old logo and create a brand around it. Revisions were minor and included tightening up the type, using the logo's gold texture and exploring a few alternative logos and sub-marks. Below, you'll see where we ended up.
